Lydia

2D/3D Generalist, Digital Artist,
Surface Pattern & Graphic Designer

Artist, Wife and Mother.

Lydia is a lifelong artist and curious soul, always seeking new ways to express creativity. From an early age, she was drawn to both traditional and digital art, exploring its many forms with a deep sense of wonder.

Rooted in the beauty of Niagara, Ontario, Lydia finds inspiration in the natural world around her and in the people she loves - her family, her friends, and the creative community she surrounds herself with. Her path in Animation began in Oakville, where she earned an Honours Bachelor’s Degree in Animation from Sheridan College.

Her professional journey took shape on the east coast, where she began her Animation career in Halifax, Nova Scotia. It has been eight years since Lydia entered the Animation industry, working with studios in Dublin, Halifax and Toronto. She later decided to begin a new chapter ~ starting a family and continuing to explore fresh creative avenues with the same passion that has guided her since childhood.

Today, Lydia works from her cozy home studio, where she focuses on Animation, Digital Character Portraits, Surface Pattern Design and Graphic Design. Surrounded by the rhythms of her family life and the quiet inspiration of nature, she brings warmth, storytelling, and a sense of connection into every project she creates.

The name "Josephine" in Lydia Josephine Design is a tribute to my beloved Nonna Josephine (Grandmother)
~ a woman whose life is stitched with grace, tenderness, and strength.

In her younger years, she delighted in embroidery, sewing and gardening, lovingly crafting each piece with care and intention. She was always creating with very busy hands, and a heart that was always full. To this day she still pours her love of creating into her cooking and baking, turning every meal into a memory and every bite into comfort.

My Nonna Josephine is the kindest soul I know ~ gentle in spirit, strong in mind, and endlessly devoted to caring for others. Her quiet wisdom, soft heart, strong spirituality, and resiliency continue to guide and inspire me everyday.

She is just as much a part of this brand as I am. From the delicate details to thoughtful palettes, her essence is woven into every design ~ our tribute to timeless beauty, heartfelt creativity,
and the kind of love that spans generations.
